There are 3 parts of this examination which lasts for approximately 3 hours- Speaking&

writing, Reading and listening with additional 10 min break after Reading section. The scores

are normally valid for 2 years.

Exam Scoring pattern :

1. Overall Score, 70 to 91 task , 20 different task types.(Score range from 10 to 90)

2. Communicative skill score, speaking , writing , listening and reading( Score range from 10 to 90)

3. Enabling skill score. Grammar, oral fluency , pronunciation , spelling , Vocabulary and written disclosure .(Score range from 10 to 90 )

**  A late registration fee of 25% is applied if registration is done within 28 hours of the test date.

• Can I take the test in one day?
  Yes, the test is given in one day and it takes approximately 3hours.
• How many times can I take the PTE Academics?
  PTE Academics is unlimited you can take the test as many times as you want .However it is advisable that you must wait for your scores before booking the next test date.
• What is the validity of the PTE Academics exam?
  Your score will be valid for 2 years from the date the test was taken.
• How soon do I get my score?
  The scores are available Within 5 days after the exam date.
• How do I pass on my score to the college?
  You can send as many applications to universities and colleges and that too free without any charge but in one day you can send your PTE score card to only 7 universities.
• If I take the PTE Academics more than once, which score will be considered by the universities?
  Almost all the universities consider the best score.
• What is the minimum PTE Academics score that I need?
  You must score a minimum of 36 in all the modules of PTE Academics if you are applying for proficient level. However you must achieve 51 or more in all skills for passing the admission criteria of universities and colleges.
• Can I postpone or cancel my test date ?
  Yes you can do so , however if you fail to appear on the exam date you will not receive any refund for that. You may receive a partial refund if u cancel the exam date before 7 days of the set exam.
• Are there any specific age criteria for appearing in PTE Academics exam ?
  The applicant should be minimum of 16 years of age or else he/she need to submit the proof of parental consent.
• How can I Rechecking or Rescore my PTE Academics scores?
  You can re-evaluate the test within 14 days of your examination by paying the re-checking application fee. You cannot apply for a rescore once you have send the scores to institutions or after re-applying for a test.
